Set up of school gardens & programmes

We set up and running school garden programs at Shangilia Childrens Home in Nairobi. The farm supports food for the 250 children and any surplus of food is being sold. Children are actively involved in the design of 2 acre farm and the change from conventional to organic food production following permaculture principles. Parents and teachers were trained and are pat of the team. Since the conversion of the farm children eat a more nutritious diet and love the diversity of fruits and vegetables. Since then the school garden is actively included in the curriculum.
